Admissions :: Criteria for Various Courses

For B.Tech (4 Years Programme)

The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/ University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the four subjects:

  1. Chemistry
  2. Computer Science/ Information Science.
  3. Bio-Technology
  4. Biology

The candidate must have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

For B.Tech (3 Years Programme, Lateral Entry) through LEET

The candidate must have passed Diploma course in Engineering/ Technology of a duration of three years or more from State Board of Technical Education, Haryana, or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in the aggregate of all semesters in any branch OR must have a B.Sc. Degree from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate as mentioned in admission brochure issued by HSCS.


M.Tech. (Comp.Science & Engg.)

i.) B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science & Engineering /Computer Engineering / Information Technology/Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation engineering /Electrical Engineering or Master of Computer Applications (MCA) or M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT/Software) or M.Sc. (Maths.) or M.Sc. (Physics) with at least 50% (45% for SC candidates of Haryana) marks in aggregate alongwith valid GATE score in Computer Science & Engineering /IT.

ii.) If GATE qualified candidates are not available, the remaining seats will be filled up by the candidates having qualifications as prescribed under (i) above without GATE score on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University.

iii.) The GATE qualified candidates will not be required to appear in the Entrance Test.


M.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering & Electrical Engineering)

i. First preference in the order: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Telecom Engineering /Electronics Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate.

ii. Second preference in the order: (a) B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering /Control Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate; (b) Biomedical Engineering /Mechatronics with 50% marks in aggregate.

iii. Third preference in the order: (a) M.Sc. (Electronics) with 50% marks in aggregate; (b) M.Sc (Physics with specialization in Electronics) with 50% marks in aggregate with valid GATE score in Electronics & Comm. Engineering / Electronics Engineering


For M.B.A. (2 Years Programme)

Candidate must have passed graduate degree from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate and must have a valid MAT score for institute level admission too preference will be given to MAT qualified candidates.


For B.B.A. (3 Years Programme)

(A) . Eligibility Conditions

i. Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) with 45% marks aggregate Or

ii. 3-year professional diploma programme.

( Admission with late fee : 15th August 2015 )


For B.Planning (4 Years Programme)

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.


For Masters of Planning (2 Years Programme)

50% aggregate marks in Bachelorís Degree in Architecture/ Planning/ Civil Engineering /Masterís Degree in Geography/ Sociology/ Economics from any University / Institution recognized by the Government of India / Govt. of Haryana.

Selection of students shall be done on the basis of merit/ Entrance test. All applications for admission are scrutinized and eligibility established on the basis of documents submitted.

Admissions to this programme will be made on academic merit of qualifying examination, however detailed instructions/qualifications/procedure for admission shall be as per the admission prospectus/brochure of respective session/year


For B.Arch. (5 Years Programme)

The candidate must have passed


(i) 10+2 or equivalent from recognized Board/University with Maths as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks OR 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/ State Government with 50% in aggregate OR International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

(ii) The Merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of 10+2 and NATA score in the ratio of 50:50.

(iii) In order to pass NATA Test a candidate must obtain minimum 40% marks.

NOTE: Candidates are also required to submit Application Form along with duly attested copies of qualifying exam, NATA Score Card and all relevant documents. Approved NATA center is established inside the campus with code HR-10

Master in Architecture course:

B.ARCH or any equivalent degree (as deemed fit considered by the equivalence committee of the University) from any Indian University included in the approved list of the Association of Indian University or any foreign University recognized by the Academic Council of the University for purpose of admission to this course securing at least 50% marks in aggregate or appropriate grade equivalent to 50% marks in credit based system.

Admissions to this programme will be made on academic merit of qualifying examination
